Authorized DealerIf you are comparing whole-home automation brands, you have probably landed on these three names. All three do the same basic job well: one app and a few keypads controlling lights, shades, audio, video, cameras and locks. The real differences show up in dealer availability, cost, and how much of a "tech person" you need in the house.
Control4 has the largest dealer network of the three, which usually means faster service calls and more installers to choose from if you move or your original dealer is unavailable. It scales from a single room to a full estate.
Savant leans into design and Apple-style polish, with a similar price range to Control4 but a smaller dealer footprint in most areas.
Crestron is the long-standing choice for very large homes and commercial buildings. It is extremely capable, but usually costs more to start and often assumes ongoing technical support.
For most single-family homes and condos, Control4 hits the best balance of capability, dealer availability and cost. Large estates or commercial spaces sometimes lean toward Crestron instead.
