Whole-home audio: common questions

Can I add whole-home audio to an existing house?

Yes. We can often fish speaker wire through walls and ceilings, or use wireless speakers where wiring is difficult.

Sonos or in-ceiling speakers?

Sonos is quick and flexible. In-ceiling speakers give a cleaner look and are great for larger systems. Many homes use both. We recommend based on your layout and goals.

Can I control it with my phone?

Yes. Sonos and Control4 both have apps, and we can set up voice control as well.

Are you a certified Sonos dealer?

Yes. 1800Install is a certified Sonos dealer.

Can I mix Sonos and in-ceiling speakers?

Yes. A Sonos Amp or Port can power in-ceiling speakers so they join your Sonos system.

Can I play different music in different rooms?

Yes. Each zone can play its own source or join a group.
