Surround sound
A surround system uses separate speakers around the room for immersive sound. It takes more planning and wiring but delivers the best movie experience.

Consider how you use the room:
- Small living rooms and apartments: soundbar
- Dedicated theater or basement: surround
- Open rooms with lots of seating: in-ceiling speakers
Installation tips
Wall-mounted TVs look best with a soundbar mounted underneath and the wires concealed. For surround, speaker wire is easiest to run before walls close, but existing homes can often be wired too.
