Mesh systems use several units that talk to each other wirelessly. They are easy to set up and can fix a dead spot in a small or medium home.
How UniFi works
UniFi uses ceiling or wall access points connected by Ethernet and powered by a PoE switch. Because each access point has a wired connection, performance stays strong in every room, and one app manages everything.
When mesh is enough
For a small apartment or a modest house with light use, a good mesh system is often fine.
When UniFi is worth it
UniFi shines in larger homes, homes with many devices, work-from-home setups, backyards and outbuildings, and homes with cameras and smart devices.
