Sonos not working?

Sonos depends on your home network more than most people realize. A new internet router, weak Wi-Fi in part of the house, or a mix of old and new Sonos products can cause dropouts and speakers that disappear from the app.

Common problems
What usually causes it.
- Speakers missing from the app: the speakers and your phone are on different networks, or the Wi-Fi is weak where the speaker sits
- Music cutting out: Wi-Fi interference or an overloaded router
- TV sound not working or delayed: HDMI eARC settings or the TV's audio output settings
- Grouping fails: older and newer Sonos products or network settings that block them
- Everything broke after a new router: the system needs to be moved to the new network
