Brick, concrete and plaster do not have studs like drywall. They need masonry anchors and careful drilling to avoid cracks.
Brick and stone
Drill into solid brick rather than mortar joints when possible and use anchors rated for the TV weight. Correct bits and slow drilling matter.
Plaster and lath
Older plaster walls can crumble. Finding structure behind the plaster is important, and sometimes a mounting plate spreads the load.
Concrete
Concrete needs hammer drilling and proper masonry anchors. It is very strong when done correctly.
Hiding wires
Running wires through masonry is harder. Surface raceways or a shelf can keep it neat when in-wall is not possible.
